Starter for 10

Not often I gush about a movie, but I just saw this movie called 'Starter for 10' that I thought was really good. It's about an awkward kid in college. It doesn't have that wink-wink, nudge-nudge, I'm-so-clever feeling that movies about the same sort of thing have. I dunno, I may find some corny stuff when I watch it again, but right now I recommend it 100%, especially for the 80's soundtrack. Watch it!

First, scratch off my summer movie list--Blade Runner, Prince Caspian, Iron Man, Indiana Jones.

Hooked the Wii up to the internet last night. Man, it's like the future. Turn it on, get news, weather. It's not just for entertainment and it's all in your TV. That's how the future will be--"Computer, give me the news...Now, the weather...Now I want to play a game...Now, go online."

I played golf in a course today in preparation for the tourney I play in on Thursday. Was hitting okay. Had some beautiful tee shots. Got rained out on the sixth hole though...

Bo Diddley died yesterday.

I sure hope ol' Blues Boy is taking care of himself...

In the shower tonight I thought it would be nice to compile a bunch of Bo Diddley beat songs. When I was in high school I could name a whole bunch of such songs, but now all I can think of is U2(ugh)'s Desire and I Want Candy (Bow Wow Wow and Nuggets versions--whoever does the Nuggets one). The rest are Bo Diddley songs. Huh...where is my encyclopedic knowledge now?
